My most memorable mother's day was my first mother's day with my new daughter who was only a few weeks old. We ended up signing a contract to buy our first house that same afternoon!

  6. My most memorable Mother's Day moment was the last year my dad was alive, when I was thirteen, when he drove the whole family out to the country church where he married my mom, and we all had a picnic lunch of the best cold fried chicken, potato salad, and chocolate cake ever. My mom cried. I think I did too.
