Win a Free Pair of Perfect Fit Jeans from Eddie Bauer!

Finding the right pair of jeans is one of the hardest shopping endeavors ever.  For me, flared styles tend to work best since I'm smaller in the waist and fuller in the hips.  But thanks to Eddie Bauer's new denim line -- which launches online and at Eddie Bauer stores everywhere Aug. 6 -- I've found a petite pair of straight jeans that fit my curves perfectly.

After compiling feedback from thousands of women, focus groups, trunk shows and hours of fine-tuning, Eddie Bauer created new fits based on three body types: Truly Straight (rectangular body shape), Slightly Curvy (modified hourglass body shape) and Curvy (true hourglass body shape). Truly Straight and Slightly Curvy denim is available in Short, Regular, Long, Petite and Tall in sizes 0-20; Curvy denim is available in Short, Regular, Long, Petite and Tall in sizes 2-20 as well as 16W-24W.
Made with premium StayShape denim, the jeans focus on Shape, Stretch and Slimming.  Developed in partnership with Cone Denim, an American company founded in 1891, StayShape jeans fit like a glove and always maintain their shape.
Everything She Wants is giving one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of Eddie Bauer's new perfect fit jeans.
Here's how to win (all steps must be completed in order to qualify and a winner will be selected at random).  Please include all info in one response to this post:
1) Retweet this post and follow me on Twitter @TracyEHopkins
2) Tell me your first name, age and why you need a new pair of jeans.
The giveaway offer will end on Friday, Aug. 10 at 11:59 p.m.  Good luck!

  3. Hi, I'm Beth. I'm--ahem--early 50's (cough) and my figure is changing. I was an off-the-rack size 5/6 all my life--from teen-age until about 2 years ago. I've become curvier and am having a lot of trouble learning how to shop for what seems to be my new permanent shape.

I'm Michelle and I'm 46 years old. Wish I could say it was because of weight loss that I need a new pair but alas the opposite is true. Right now not one of my pants fits comfortably and while I've managed not to move into the extra plus size department, I know I need a larger size than I used to wear and something with a comfortable waistband. Lately, I've been wearing sweatpants rather than my "I-can't-breathe-without-pain" jeans. Finding a pair of jeans that not only looks good but is comfortable can take an Act of Congress not to mention a full-blown melt-down in the middle of the store.

  6. My name is Cheri, and I am 20 years old. I need a new pair of jeans because I rarely find a pair that fits me perfectly. I drift from almost 3 different sizes. Jeans often are too tight around my thighs yet are wide around my waist. I would love to finally own a favorite pair of jeans I love. Thanks for the giveaway!

I need a new pair of jeans because I haven't had a "new to me" pair for at least a year. I can never find a pair that suits me so I stick to my old and very worn jeans. I could go out and buy some new ones, but it'd be super nice to win them instead!

  20. My name is Erin, I'm 28, and I need a new pair of jeans because I've never, ever found a pair that fit and flattered. In college, girls would make fun of me because my jeans were too baggy in the rear, and now, the few pairs I have are pretty lame. I don't feel confident in them and lousy jeans can spoil an otherwise gorgeous look.

Conway Discount Clothing Chain Closing in New York City

(Tracy E. Hopkins) It's the end of a budget shopping era. Conway discount stores are closing in New York City . As of this weekend, a sign on the sole Herald Square location (34th Street btwn 7th and 8th Ave) says the store will close in "7 Days." Before I relocated to the Big Apple, I was introduced to the discount chain while on a bus trip from Baltimore.  I recall the first time I saw Conway's signature pink bags carried by hurried shoppers in midtown. And Miss Foster, the trip organizer and a bargain hunter from way back, took me to the store for the first time. Conway store in the Fulton Mall./Tracy E. Hopkins When I moved here in 1994, my love affair with Conway continued.  I furnished my first apartment with discount knick-knacks and home goods from the store.  And much to my chagrin, in hindsight, I curated most of my wardrobe for my first full-time job from the long-shuttered 42nd Street and Third Avenue store. One regretful ensemble: Lime green and

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Graces Brooklyn Academy of Music, June 4-9, 2024

Dance is expression. Dance is spiritual. Dance is activism. Dance is life. I feel most alive when I am listening to music and dancing.  As a spectator and fan, some of my fondest moments of watching dance performances have been witnessing the dignity and grace of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Every time I see the Ailey company, I am inspired, moved, and grounded in the beauty and complexity of the African American experience.  Photo by Paul Kolnik For me, the highlight is always "Revelations," Mr. Ailey's three-part ode to his upbringing in the Black Baptist church. The three sections -- "Pilgrim of Sorrow"; "Take Me to the Water"; and "Move, Members, Move" -- tell the story of African American faith and persistence from slavery to freedom. Over the weekend,  I had the pleasure of taking an outdoor Community Workshop in downtown Brooklyn, where we learned some of the choreography for "Revelations." I beamed from ear to ear

Wendy Williams Diagnosed with Dementia and Her Lifetime Documentary Reveals Struggles with Health and Finances

Wendy Williams has always been a friend in my head, as the former talk show host was fond of saying about celebrities she liked and admired.  Before her eponymous "The Wendy Williams Show" became a nationally syndicated treasure trove for all the goss, I listened to Wendy's daily chat fest on WBLS in New York City. That radio show was a source of afternoon delight while working 9 to 5, and  I've been a fan of the "Queen of All Media" for a long time. So it has been hard to watch Wendy devolve into a hot topic -- while publicly dealing with the embarrassment of infidelity in her marriage, a nasty divorce, losing her hit talk show and subsequent health and financial woes.  While she was still doing her talk show, which ran for 12 years, the gossip girl openly discussed her battles with substance abuse and her medical struggles with Graves' Disease and Lymphedema. I was even watching when Wendy fainted on live television during a 2017 Halloween episode of h
