Chocolate Chip Cookies Inspired by Empire's Cookie Lyon

Get your crunch and munch on while watching Empire with Cookie Lyon-inspired cookies from the acclaimed David Burke Group.   That's right, they did it for the Cookie.  The sweet  and savory  cookies ($4.95 each) are currently available at David Burke at Bloomingdales located at 1000 Third Avenue.  Executive Pastry Chef Zac Young has crafted a delicious and stylish cookie inspired by the Empire matriarch's sweet, salty and totally fierce personality, masterfully portrayed by Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson. Zac’s delectable chocolate chip cookies are infused with caramel and sea salt, and decorated with bold animal print patterns inspired by Cookie's urban chic flair for fashion.  Cookie Lyon-inspired cookies at David Burke Bloomingdales./David Burke Group But if you're not in New York City or you prefer to make your own Cookie-inspired cookies, the David Burke Group has generously shared the yummy recipe with Everything She Wants. ...

Fall 2011 Fashion Preview: Animal Prints Still Stylish

Everything She Wants has been pounding the pavement from one fall/holiday 2011 preview to the next.  And one of the trends I've noticed is that animal prints remain an evergreen fashion statement. While I'm not a fan of wearing the look from head-to-toe, a bold animal print shoe, bag, jacket, scarf or pair of gloves is a stylish way to incorporate the trend into your seasonal wardrobe. Here are a few eye catching signature pieces (Via Spiga shoes are in stores now; other styles available this fall):  Bag and accessories from Cache Jacket from LOFT Working girl statement pieces from Talbots Stiletto heels from Via Spiga Funky flats from Via Spiga Chunky heels from Via Spiga Travel accessories from Iman Global Chic for HSN Photos by Tracy E. Urban Chic : Mix-and-match soft and edgy fabrics like sheer lace paired with a cropped sweater and lace-up booties; or the Material Girl-reminiscent faux leather vest and lace leggings look. Hippie Chick: Flowing floral dresses, fringe and faux fur vests, floppy hats, and feather earrings are some of the key pieces for this bohemian trend. Romantic Times:  Be a trendsetter by pairing a lace top and cropped jacket and rhinestone accessories with funky animal print harem pants. Or achieve a vintage look in a lace top, skirt, and tights worn with a sequin jacket and flowery accessories.  Molly Ringwald circa Pretty in Pink would be proud.
