Although it certainly doesn't feel like it on the chilly East Coast, spring is only two weeks away.  So let's dream a little and escape the winter doldrums by planning what you'll pack for your well-deserved spring fling. I attended a blogger event to celebrate the launch of Call It Spring's shop-within-a-shop at JC Penney.  In New York City, the Aldo group retailer took over 400 square-feet of the Herald Square Penney's shoe department last fall. This spring, the Call It Spring concept store expands to 100 JCPenney stores and on jcp.com .  An additional 400 stores will be added in fall 2011. But what you really need to know is most of the shoes retail from $39.99 to $59.99 . Curiously enough, there's a stand-alone Call It Spring store in the Manhattan Mall, which also houses JCPenney.  I went to a launch party at that store last fall, and to be honest I wasn't blown away by the quality of the shoes. The shoes I tried on from the new spring line for JCPenney, however, felt more comfortable and looked more polished. I desperately needed new shoes for Fashion week, so the invite to attend an exclusive blogger event for Call It Spring shoes was right on time.  This sister company to Aldo Shoes has 200 store locations in the U.S., Canada, Asia and the Middle East, and the frenzied event was at New York City's first Call It Spring store in the Manhattan Mall.
