Scandal Inspires a Fall Collection for The Limited

"We are feminine and fierce. We are sexy and strong. And if playing up our power suits is a scandal, then it's one we can gladly handle." Words to live by from the mailer we received from The Limited's new Scandal inspired collection . Scandal star Kerry Washington./CBSNews Designed by actress Kerry Washington, costume designer Lyn Paolo and Elliot Staples, the exclusive collection's dramatic white suiting, long leather gloves, oversized tote bag, taupe dolman wrap coat and standout plaid cape would make powerful and pouty political "fixer" Olivia Pope, proud. "Women often feel they have to choose between smart or sexy," says Washington. "This collection says you can be both of those things. You can be fabulous and fearless." So gladiators get your red wine glasses and your wardrobes ready. The new melodrama-packed season of Scandal  premieres tonight on ABC , and the Scandal-inspired collection at The Limited is avai

Natural Hair Care Tips for African-American Women for Fall

We love fall and the crisper, cooler temps. But the change in the season also means a change in your hair care routine--particularly if you are a woman of color who wears her hair naturally (that means no relaxer).  To help us navigate the do's and don'ts of natural hair maintenance, veteran stylist Cyd Charisse of Atti2des 2 Hair & Nail Salon in Temple Hills, Maryland offered  Everything She Wants  some sage advice. The stylist is a professional artistic beauty consultant and she exclusively uses the  Design Essentials  professional product line. Here are Cyd's tips for fab fall tresses: Stylist Cyd Charisse crafts signature hair looks using Design Essentials® hair care products at Ubiquitous Hair & Health Trade Show.   Photo Credit: Dwayne Roberts A healthy lifestyle, nutritious diet, exercise and drinking water are excellent ways of producing healthy hair and a balanced lifestyle year-round. Fashion Week Celebrity Sightings at HSN and Panasonic Lounges

As much as we enjoy the runway shows and presentations during Fashion Week, Everything She Wants equally enjoys the lounges ( that is, when we are treated shade-free and not quizzed in the lobby about how many Instagram followers we have ).  Apparently, celebs love lounges and the abundance of swag, too. We saw the adorable Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child fame trying out the products at the Panasonic Beauty Bar at Salon SCK and E! correspondent Giuliana Rancic showcasing her new clothing line at HSN 's Annual Fall Fashion Suite. Wish you were there?  Well, to keep you in the mix, here are some celeb snapshots from these two popular Fashion Week events. Katie Holmes is Glowing at Old Navy Fashion Week Party

One of the coolest things about New York Fashion Week is celebrity spotting. At a Fashion Week party for Old Navy, we saw stylist June Ambrose, former Top Model creative director Jay Manuel and the evening's co-host, fashion editor and Old Navy style ambassador, Joe Zee. Katie Holnes getting a temporary jewelry tattoo at Old Navy and Joe Zee's Fashion Week party. The A-list star power, however, came courtesy of Suri Cruise's mom, aka Katie Holmes, who held court at the temporary jewelry tattoo station. We loved "Dawson's Creek" back in the day and we are happy to report that "Joey" is just as beautiful (dewy tanned skin, luscious brunette locks, model thin and tall) in person as she looked on the small screen.  And we're sure Tom has gotten the memo by now, but Katie looks really happy. 4 Fashion Week Beauty and Health Essentials

Fashion Week is back and Everything She Wants plans to attend a few presentations, previews and runway shows.  To help us look and feel our best amidst the hustle and the bustle, here are a few of our must-have beauty and fashion essentials. 1. Nubian Heritage African Black Soap Body Wash keeps us feeling refreshed even while rushing from show to show. The paraben-free wash lathers up nicely and contains anti-bacterial and moisturizing ingredients including 100 percent Shea butter, Vitamin E, oats, palm ash, plantain peel extract, tamarind extract and papaya enzymes. The soap also seems to effectively combat smelly stress sweats. And we only regret we didn't discover this cleansing wash sooner! 2. We never thought we'd find a powder we like as much as Bare Minerals' loose powder, but SheaMoisture 's new illuminating powder is our new favorite. The powder comes in several shades including ours (Mandalay Dusk) and is available exclusively at Target, along wi
