Daily sunscreen helps skin stay young, even over 40

We already know that wearing sunscreen daily in the warm weather helps us avoid the risks of skin cancer. Now there's another good reason to wear sunscreen every day, particularly for those of us who are either approaching or firmly planted in middle age.  New research from Australia shows that using sunscreen daily can help your skin look younger longer.

According to WebMD, the four year study by Queensland Institute of Medical Research at Royal Brisbane Hospital, showed a significant reduction in the skin's aging process among women and men under age 55.

CBS reports that the daily sunscreen participants used products with a sun-protection factor (SPF) of 15+, and applied it to their head, neck, arms and hands each morning after bathing, and reapplied every time they perspired heavily or spent a few hours in the sun.

Here are Everything She Wants' recommendations for a few natural broad-spectrum sunscreens that per FDA regulations protect against UVA and UVB rays:

Kiss My Face Sunscreen Sun Spray Lotion (SPF 30) is a paraben-free, economy-size sunscreen made with natural minerals.  It's also water resistant and fragrance-free.

True Natural All Natural Sunscreen (SPF 30) is vegan and water resistant, gluten and cruelty free, and quickly and easily absorbs into the skin.

Coola Mineral Sunscreen for the Face (SPF 20) is a natural, matte formula that protects your face from sun damage while it hydrates with vitamins, antioxidants and repairing extracts like shea butter and borage seed oil that target the early signs of aging.

Conway Discount Clothing Chain Closing in New York City

(Tracy E. Hopkins) It's the end of a budget shopping era. Conway discount stores are closing in New York City . As of this weekend, a sign on the sole Herald Square location (34th Street btwn 7th and 8th Ave) says the store will close in "7 Days." Before I relocated to the Big Apple, I was introduced to the discount chain while on a bus trip from Baltimore.  I recall the first time I saw Conway's signature pink bags carried by hurried shoppers in midtown. And Miss Foster, the trip organizer and a bargain hunter from way back, took me to the store for the first time. Conway store in the Fulton Mall./Tracy E. Hopkins When I moved here in 1994, my love affair with Conway continued.  I furnished my first apartment with discount knick-knacks and home goods from the store.  And much to my chagrin, in hindsight, I curated most of my wardrobe for my first full-time job from the long-shuttered 42nd Street and Third Avenue store. One regretful ensemble: Lime green and
