9 Easy Spring Cleaning Tips for Busy Moms and Working Women

This is gonna sound strange, so watch the YouTube video for proof, but ever since I met Mr. Clean ( yes, Mr. Clean is real ) at The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita's spotless home a few years ago, I started to enjoy cleaning my condo. And while we're waiting for the lingering winter chill to end,  it's that time of year again, for a little spring cleaning. To help take the chore out of cleaning, here are some helpful tips from Home & Parenting expert and Kinsights' co-founder, Jennifer Chung. 1.  Don't procrastinate. Get in the habit of doing things right away. For instance, don’t let dishes sit in the sink; rinse them and get them in the dishwasher right after eating. Or make the bed right when you get up. If you wait until you have time, you will never have time and things start piling up. 2.  Make it bright and cheery:  Keep blinds open and flowers (fresh are best, but fake will do) on the table or mantel. The lighter

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Grace the April Cover of Vogue

We haven't confessed this to you before, but we are fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians .  As mind-numbingly vapid as it is, we find the Kardashian clan pretty darn entertaining.  Like the Braxton sisters, we're amused by the playful banter between Kim, Kourtney and Khloe. With Kimye's impending nuptials and the persistence of the fashionable Mr. West, we can't say this  Vogue cover comes as a complete surprise. But we still can't help but wonder how Anna Wintour really feels about the reality TV starlet being the face of the April issue?  Either way, if Lena Dunham is good enough to grace the cover, then sex tape aside why not Kim? They're both powerful, young-ish celebs in their own right, and Kim obviously loves fashion (not all of her looks have been winning, but there's no denying her dedication to materialism). And whether you love her or hate her, Kim is arguably one of the most beautiful girls in the world. So kudos on your Vogue cove

Spring Jewelry Trends from Norbu Designs

If you’re in the market for a piece of unique, handmade jewelry, allow us to introduce you to Norbu Designs . Created by Charlotte Reichman, she meticulously handcrafts one-of-a-kind statement jewelry from antique and precious items, often times incorporating Tahitian pearls and Swarovski crystals. Prices range from $30-$300. Read on to find out more about artful Norbu Designs in my Q&A with Reichman. Everything She Wants: What's the significance of the name, Norbu Designs? Charlotte Reichman : Norbu is the Tibetan word for jewelry. My husband and I are both practicing Buddhists. ESW: How did you get into jewelry design? CR: I began experimenting with jewelry roughly six years ago, while I was working at Harvard’s McLean Hospital, which is a psychiatric facility. I was working with patients who suffered from severe mental illness, which can really wear a person down. Due to the stress of my position, finding a creative outlet was necessary. I would wear my jewel

Project Runway's Mondo Guerra's Limited-Edition Shoes for Crocs

Every fan of Project Runway knows that Mondo Guerra was robbed of his deserved victory on Season 8 of the fashion competition. And we rejoiced when he won the first season of Project Runway All-Stars . Currently, the uber-talented Mexican-American designer is a mentor on Project Runway: Under the Gunn and to celebrate the launch of his limited-edition shoe collection for Crocs, Mondo hosted a viewing party of the show at the new Crocs store in Manhattan's hectic Herald Square shopping district. Project Runway fan favorite and All-Stars winner, Mondo Guerra. The admittedly moody but lovable Mondo told us being a mentor is harder than being a contestant and he really goes to bat for his designers, whom he affectionately calls "my children." Mentees from the show (contender Blake Smith from Anya's team and quirky Isabelle Donola from Nick's team) along with past contestants (fellow Season 8 alum, Ivy Higa) attended the launch event to show their love.  Cu

Conway Discount Clothing Chain Closing, Part 2

As recently reported here on Everything She Wants , Conway stores are closing in New York City.  We've learned the 70-year-old chain has also closed its stores nationwide. A couple weeks ago, we asked if the last holdout in downtown Brooklyn's Fulton Mall was also down for the count, and many of the employees seemed clueless, despite the fact that the writing was literally on the wall (everything in the store has been on sale since February). Conway store in Brooklyn closing./Tracy Hopkins But now it's official. The Fulton Mall store is shuttering on Saturday, March 15. Most items are 50% off, and many are $4 or less. We checked out the store last night and there were still plenty of bargains to be found. Here's a quick peek at the inventory left: Mundi wallets and change purses, $3 Geri C. fashion dresses, $4 Baby blanket gift sets, $4.70 Assorted t-shirts and tops, $3-$4.50 Sandals and flats, $2.50-$6 Bras and undies, $$1.50-$3 Socks and leggings,

Oscars 2014 Best Dressed Picks, Who Rocked the Red Carpet?

Did you watch the Academy Awards 2014?  Although it was long winded as usual, we enjoyed the A-list awards ceremony, minus superfluous performances from Pink and Bette Midler and curious film montages that disproportionately featured clips from several Will Smith and Marvel Comics movies.  Ellen was likable and effortless. And the stars seemed genuinely happy to be there…except for Christian Bale. As predicted, 12 Years a Slave won for Best Picture; Cate Blanchett won for Best Actress; Matthew McConaughey won for Best Actor; and Lupito Nyong'o and Jared Leto took home the golden Oscar statues for Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively. But really, the main attraction is the fashion. Lupita Nyong'o in Prada. We didn't love this dress, but the color was beautiful on her. Jennifer Lawrence looked red hot in Dior.   Camila Alves in a regal blush gown by Gabriela Cadena. Best Looking Couple: Brad and Angie channeled old Hollywoo
