Spring Cleaning for Your Body at Whole Foods Market

Spring is a great season to clean out your closet and your body.  Recently, in a quest to rid my body of allergens and to shed a few pounds, I eliminated dairy, refined sugar and flour products and alcohol, and opted for a diet full of steamed and raw vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, cabbage, radishes, kale and lettuce), fruit (blueberries, green apple, cantaloupe), salmon, whole grains (quinoa) and a detoxifying herbal tea. Now that I'm more aware of  how certain foods affect me, I will continue to modify my diet and bid adieu to my fave frenemy foods like chips, cupcakes, mac and cheese and fries. Finding a detox diet tailored to fit your needs, however, is easy thanks to all the options available at Whole Foods Market .  One way to  kickstart your cleanse is with the  365 Everyday Value 7 Day Quick Cleanse , a simple 3-step plan that features a quick liver cleanse, gentle and effect

Helen Hunt in H&M on the Oscars Red Carpet

Doesn't it feel good to pay less?  Apparently, celebs love a bargain, too.  Actress Helen Hunt wore an elegant strapless gown designed by H&M to the 85th Annual Academy Awards, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Sessions . H&M designed the couture midnight blue full length gown is silk satin especially for the Oscar occasion. Everything She Wants loves H&M for trendy basics and edgy accessories and although we're sure Ms. Hunt was gifted her lovely dress, this makes us think twice about about where we'll shop the next time we need to get red carpet-ready ( a girl can dream, can't she?) . Spring 2013 Shoe Preview from Luichiny and Alejandra G

The right shoe can make or break an outfit.  Here at Everything She Wants , we dress just as much for comfort as we do for style.  But we can still admire a beautiful pump or a wicked wedge, and sartorially speaking these spring shoe trends from Alejandra G  and Luichiny give us something to aspire to. Most styles are under $100 and although we dream of taking our shoe game to new heights, we're still partial to the black studded Luichiny flats in the second photo. ALEJANDRA G  ( www.alejandrag.com ) Los Angeles based designer, Alejandra G, offers a bold and daring shoe collection that challenges conventional boundaries. The unique individualism, embodied by her overall design aesthetic, has captured the attention of celebrity fans such as Raven-Symone, Taryn Manning, Tamera Mowry and Carly Rae  Jepsen.  Owner and designer, Alejandra G was a former producer and later studied in Milan where she eventually mastered the art of shoe design. Nail Trends at New York Fashion Week

What models wear on their nails during Fashion Week has become just as important as their hair styling and makeup.  Here's a behind-the-scenes report from BeautyPress on some of the hot nail trends from OPI at New York Fashion Week's Fall/Winter 2013 shows. OPI Black Onyx OPI joined BCBGMAXAZRIA in kicking off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on February 7th at Lincoln Center. Models walked the runway wearing OPI nail lacquer in Black Onyx topped with a coat of OPI Matte Nail Envy for a slightly matte finish with a little gloss. The dark nails provided a great complement to the black, white and blue hues, bold prints, and firs that were showcased in the Fall/Winter 2013 collection. OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons OPI and designer Gabriela Perezutti collaborated for the Candela presentation. Models wore OPI nail lacquer in Don't Pretzel My Buttons. This warm nude shade nicely complemented the collection's rustic, romantic feel.

Jewelry Box Gifts for Valentine's Day

Jewelry is usually at the top of every girl's Valentine's Day wish list.  But let's think inside the box for a minute.  With all the fine and costume baubles, charms, statement pieces, studs, hoops and chandelier earrings we've accumulated, we need a pretty place to store them.  So a jewelry box ( or few )-- like the decorative-yet-practical Jewellery Boxes from H. Samuel -- is the perfect gift for Valentine's Day. Everything She Wants is partial to stackable jewelry trays  (photo below) that fit neatly inside a dresser drawer.  This is a great way to organize your jewelry by type (bracelets in one tray and earrings and necklaces in their own trays). And for a dresser top, nothing beats your Mom's classic,  multi-section jewelry box  (top photo) that will store all your jewelry stash with ease. If you have a bigger bedroom or closet space, you can fit most of your collection in a stand-alone  jewelry armoire.   But beware, these can look c
